Burn Season Sunrise Over Oyster Lake Shapes draws on the artist’s observations of the landscape during her daily runs to the lake adjoining her bush property on Yuin Country. Smoke-softened dawns wash the water in muted pinks, ochres, rusts and deep blues, while layered pigment and delicate mark making echo the quiet geometry of the oyster leases. The work reflects the gentle rhythms of family life on the land, shaped by the changing seasons.
