Anna Hooij is a photographer and visual artist based in Byron Bay. Her work moves between the commercial and the contemplative, spanning fashion, lifestyle and portraiture. With a background in fashion and advertising, her imagery balances refined composition with organic imperfection, inviting a sense of presence and simplicity.
Orchid was photographed during an artist residency in Ubud, Bali. Fragile and otherworldly, orchids bloom one day and are gone the next. Each briefly beautiful in their own way. A fleeting reminder of the beauty found in impermanence. This work is part of In Spring We Bloom, a body of work inspired by the ephemeral beauty of flowers.
